About Us
ABOUT US is all ABOUT YOU AND YOUR STUDENTS!
This project is designed to provide academic year sessions and summer workshops to 150 teachers of science and mathematics in grades 3-5 in a 12-system area of southern Georgia. The goals are to improve teacher content knowledge, knowledge of strategies, and ability to use appropriate resources (including technology). In addition, the grant seeks to inspire teachers through these sessions and workshops so that they can share with their students the power of science and mathematics in the real world. To that end, project activities will seek to improve teacher confidence in both their content knowledge and in their ability to successfully teach that content to their students. The powerful place of science and mathematics in the real world will provide the framework for all activities.
